Wind increasing to southeasterly 25 to 30 this evening with gusts to 40 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind becoming southeast 40 overnight with gusts to 60 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind diminishing to southwesterly 25 Wednesday afternoon then increasing to southwest 35 Wednesday evening.

Snow or rain beginning this evening changing to periods of rain overnight. Fog patches forming overnight and dissipating Wednesday afternoon.

Temperatures minus 4 rising to plus 8 Wednesday afternoon.

Issued 3:00 AM AST 12 December 2017 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today departing low 1011 mb located over
Banquereau.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight deepening low 984 mb located over New
England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 968 mb located near the St. Lawrence
River.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM AST 12 December 2017 A low pressure system currently over the Great Lakes will intensify
today as it moves to lie over New England this evening. The low will
continue to deepen tonight and Wednesday and will lie near the St.
Lawrence River Wednesday evening. Gale force southeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low and will shift to gale force southwesterlies
in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti.

In addition, marine interests are advised that higher than normal
waters levels can be expected at high tide along the Atlantic Coast
of Nova Scotia tonight and again at high tide on Wednesday. Higher
than normal water levels are also expected at high tide over the
Northern Gulf of St. Lawrence on Wednesday.
